About The Pickled Beats
The Pickled Beats is a band made up of players from both the United Kingdom and the United States. The members have a mountain of experience, from a wide variety of musical styles. The members are:
Kevin Thistlethwaite
Kevin came to the United States in 1988 with an all English country band. The band’s name was White Line fever, and they appeared on the Ralph Emery hosted “Nashville Now” twice. The band opened shows for such country greats as: Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, Steve Wariner, and Charley Daniels Band. They toured the U.S. for almost 6 years before the band split up. In 2002 Kevin, who plays guitar and mandolin, formed the Pickled Beats along with his wife Jennie.
Jennie Leigh Thistlethwaite
Jennie was in musical theatre before moving to Nashville in the early eighties, where she became an in demand session singer, working with such artists as Louise Mandrell, Danielle Alexander, Tiny Tim, and appeared on such shows as Hee-Haw, Nashville now, and Star Search. Jennie also opened shows for The Beach Boys, Lynerd Skynerd and Poco
Le Anne Ethridge
Le Anne has been on the Nashville scene for many years as a session musician, and has worked on the road with Nancy Griffith. LeAnne has recorded two highly acclaimed solo CD’s. LeAnne plays bass and acoustic guitar and sings both lead and background vocals.
Pat MacInerney
Pat is from the UK, having come to the U.S. to be the permanent drummer for Don Williams; Pat played with Don for 12 years., touring all over the world. Pat splits his time now between playing with The Pickled Beats, and playing with Nancy Griffith. Pat is also a busy session musician in Nashville, and is constantly in demand for his excellent drum and percussion work.
The Pickled Beats play a wide variety of music; specializing in music from the British Isles and Ireland. If you come to a Pickled Beats show, you are guaranteed a great time, and some excellent music from some of the finest musical talent Music City has to offer.
